        .......................................................................................................

A van arrives in Lazytown from the only road that runs through the mountain range connecting the rest of the world to its heart. Robbie Rotten, as usual in his underground lair, has been watching the van through his periscope ever since it entered the town. The van pulls up behind one of the many walls that crisscross Lazytown and comes to a stop. The only thing that stands out about the van is the Acme logo the walls haven’t obscured. Robbie’s eyes widen. “Acme is my favorite company. They must be here to give me a reward for being their best customer.” In typical Robbie fashion, he grabs the bottom of his vest and pulls it down feeling proud of himself and heads out through the hatchway to greet the occupants of the van and collect his reward.

Two occupants exit the van and look around. They are dressed to the nine’s in their expensive business suits. Robbie, with his stiff but quick walk, approaches the two.
Outstretching his arms, “Gentlemen, I gladly accept your customer appreciation reward.” The two men look at each other confused and rather amused. “Excuse me sir? I think
you are under the wrong assumption,” one of the men states. He reaches into his suit jacket and pulls out a white card and hands it to Robbie. Robbie looks at it and his eyes widen and head jerks. The card reads: ACME LAND DEVELOPERS. “It’s beautiful here isn’t it? You know what would make it even more beautiful?” Robbie shrugs. “Think about it,” the man puts his hand on Robbie’s back and with the other hand, with arm outstretched, sweeps it across the horizon as he continued his sales pitch. “An amusement park, casinos, office buildings, a manufacturing hub, apartment buildings and even a vacation resort. But most of all, everyone in this town will become very wealthy overnight. All that is needed is selling their homes and land to us.” Well, at this point, Robbie was torn. He liked the idea of being very wealthy but at the same time he was thinking about all the new inhabitants running around making noises, playing, working and all sorts of other activity. He begins to scratch his chin. He could always move to a new quieter place with his new found wealth. But, that requires a lot of activity, planning and work and that is the one thing he tries to avoid at all costs. He looks at the card again and hands it back to the man. “Thanks but no thanks. I like this place just the way it is and since those two Sportakooks don’t seem to be around anymore, I like the place the way it is even better. Now go away.” The man looks at Robbie with an expression of annoyance and inconvenience, “Sorry to hear that. Another representative of ours will be here shortly to help persuade you in making the right choice.” With that, Robbie storms off rather miffed about not receiving a customer appreciation award and the two men go back to their van and drive off.

Stephanie wakes from her imposed slumber. Loud static coming from the device helped with that. She’s covered in snow but the cape has kept her warm and dry.
As she stands, the snow falls away and she brushes away the stubborn remaining snow. She reaches down and picks up the device. She turns it off and on again but the static persists.
“Pixel, are you there?” She speaks to the device again, “Pixel!?” She waits a few minutes and still no response. She turns off the communication part of the device and presses the other button activating the crystal detector. What was once a rhythmic beeping sound has turned into a single continuous tone. Whatever the device is picking up, it is definitely here. She turns around facing the mountain. There’s a stone archway that runs up to the outcropping she had been standing on. In the middle of the archway, there is a stone door. The archway and the door are still lightly covered in snow from the middle to the bottom. She walks up to the door and puts her hand on it. She pulls her hand away. It’s cold. There doesn’t appear to be a lock or handle on the door. She begins to brush away the snow from the door working her hand towards the right side of the arch. Her hand reaches the arch and she continues brushing the snow. As she is brushing the snow off the arch, she feels something different underneath. She digs out what appears to be a hand print embedded in the arch. It’s about half the depth of a hand and seems to be underlain with crystals. She takes her hand and places it in the impression. A humming noise issues forth from the door as the hand imprint glows with a soft white light. The door suddenly drops open. A dark passage now beckons Stephanie. She thought it strange she doesn’t feel apprehensive in venturing forward into the darkness.

Usually, nothing ever good happens in dark cave places. But, for some reason she isn’t afraid. She sniffs the air coming from the passage. The air has a rocky smell to it. While raising Pixel’s device she presses the communication button. The display screen is still static but it will offer the only light as she begins her journey into the darkness. As she’s walking into what appears to be a straight passageway, she’s calling out, “Sportacus? …….Sportacus, are you here?” The response to her calls is as empty as the light is from this place. The light from the display is her only solace and giving her at least a few feet visibility in the darkness. She approaches what appears to be another stone archway leading into more darkness. The lit walls gave way to utter and complete darkness. This time she yells out “Sportacus!” The echoing of her voice seems to go on forever. She presses forward while listening to her voice echoing. A disembodied voice interrupts her fading echo.

“Congratulations Stephanie. You have come far in your journey and have perhaps arrived at the place you were always meant to be. This is could be why you wanted to come to Lazytown in the first place. You were probably drawn here by the call of the crystals even though you weren’t consciously aware of it. You have passed the first test which is a good sign. Though in your case you found this place by unusual means using that device.”

“Meant to be? Test? Sportacus is that you?” She wasn’t sure. It sounded like Sportacus but different.

“Well yes and no. I am not the Sportacus that you know. I am the first Sportacus. The Sportacus that you know has already told me so much about you and in his faith that you are one of us.”

With that, the cavern came to life with light. Crystals throughout the cavern began to glow. What appeared, at first, to be a dark empty void is now a crystal cathedral.
“For generations, my people, the elves, have always been experts at crafting crystal technology for light as you see around you and other rather simple uses. I was different.
I seemed to have been born with a natural ability and in tune with crystals. I could impart my essence and mind into them. As you will find, if you are one born of the crystals.
Look to your left Stephanie. Along the wall is a tribute to every Sportacus that has ever existed including me. The crystal covered alcoves are the uniforms they wore and
the crystal that sits upon the pedestals in front of the alcoves contains their essence and memory. All of their experiences and knowledge are at your disposal.”

Stephanie looks over at the crystal encased alcove. Hanging in them is a myriad of colored Sportacus costumes from brown to yellow, green and red to name a few.
Above each of the alcoves, engraved in stone, is written the name Sportacus followed by the number one through nine. Sportacus number ten’s alcove is empty of crystal and suit.
At least she knows now that the Sportacus she knows is alive and well. There was one question she needed to ask, “Did you build this place all by yourself?”
He replies, “No my child. Elves have mined this mountain for crystals generations before me. I just took it upon myself to put it to another use as well. The design of this chamber is mine.”
This is a very old place indeed she thinks.

“We must proceed. Walk to the center of the chamber.” Stephanie turns and faces forward again and proceeds to walk to the center.
Once she arrives, a pedestal rises from the ground in front of her which holds three crystals. “Only one of the crystals is true.
You must choose the right one and not only that the crystal must choose you as well.” She looks at the three crystals. They are identical in every way.
This isn’t going to be easy. “Go with your feelings. If you are indeed a true Sportacus the crystal will guide you.” the voice instructed. Stephanie clears her mind and raises her
hand over the pedestal with the three crystals. She passes her hand over the three crystals from right, middle and left and back again numerous times.
She wasn’t feeling anything. She closes her eyes and continues to pass her hand over the crystals. Something began drawing her to the crystal on the
right and with a leap of faith she picks it up. She slowly begins to open her eyes. The crystal was glowing! “Both of you have chosen wisely.” Another
pedestal rises up from the ground next to the one with the crystals. This one didn’t have crystals but a Sportacus crystal chest holder with the number 11
on it just like the one her Sportacus wears with one exception this one was trimmed in the color pink. “Your Sportacus has prepared all this for you as every other
Sportacus has when passing down their legacy.” She picks it up and places the crystal in it and the crystal grows dark again as she closes it.
She opens her cape and she clamps it on her outfit. “The crystal you now wear is tuned to all life. When that life is in peril, the crystal will alert you
and it is up to you to protect that life.” Stephanie, feeling proud, throws off her cape and stands with her legs apart and holds her hands on her hips in the typical Sportacus fashion.
“The world awaits you my child. Go and fulfill your destiny.” With those words, Stephanie walks back towards the tunnel she entered the chamber from and back to the outside world she knows.

        End Part Two

Edit: Same again. Fixed the spacing issues with the sentences here too.

Thanks. Always wanted to have back story for the crystals and the Elves to give them
a bit more history and I guess mythos. That bottom screen capture is from Crystal Caper
and as he was handing the crystal to Stephanie he tells her to be careful it's very powerful.
That's what began my curiosity about it so many years ago.

                      • My Lazy town story

I had a vision one day that I made into a story which I would love to be a movie.and a new character was made played by me named Sarah who is Stephanie's little sister ( which is an inside joke because my sister is named Sarah and one of her Best Friend is named Stephanie)

Stephanie and her little sister Sarah written letters to each other every weekend.
One day Sarah sent a letter asking Stephanie for directions to Lazy town. When Stephanie got the letter she got pretty exited and told thair uncle and all her friends about Sarah wanting to visit Lazy town. Sportacus and Stephanie made a map of Lazy town and Stephanie sent it in the mail with a letter saying I can't wait to see you. After Sarah made sure she had everything she needed she got the letter from her mail box and put the letter in one of her bags. On the way to Lazytown Sarah tripped and the wind blew her map away. When Sarah stood up she saw Robbie Rotten a few feet in front of her. Sarah walked up to him and introduced herself to him. She asked him if he was one of Stephanie's friends she had read about in Stephanie's letters and if he knew where she was. Robbie decided to go along with it I'm Robbie, I don't know where Stephanie is, but if you promise to help me catch Sportiloop I'll call Stephanie for you when we get to my house. said Robbie.Sarah agreed to help Robbie only because she thought he would help her find Stephanie. When they got to Robbie's house Robbie gave Sarah a dress that was like his outfit because he found her's too bright, fun and colorful for him. Sarah changed then reminded Robbie to call Stephanie. so Robbie picked up the phone and pretend to call Stephanie but he was actually talking to no body. What did she say? asked Sarah. Umm... She's exited to see you. Robbie answered untruthfully. A few minutes later they went outside with a net. When I say go be ready to throw the net at Sportiloop. Robbie said to Sarah. OK Robbie.. But I I'm bad at aiming. Robbie yelled Go! And Sarah through the net at him accidentally. THROW IT AT HIM NOT ME! yelled Robbie to Sarah. Sorry Robbie I told you I'm bad at aiming. It was getting pretty late and Stephanie was getting worried something happened to Sarah. Don't worry Stephanie. Said Sportacus. I'll help you look around town. Stephanie saw Sarah with her bags while Robbie wasn't too far away from them and ran up to Sarah. Stephanie did Robbie call you? asked Sarah. Stephanie said no. He said if I helped him catch Sportiloop he would call you and help me find you. Um... Do you mean Sportacus? Asked Stephanie. Robbie said Sportacus was both Sportiloop and Sportiflop and I forgot his name was Sportacus. Sarah apologised to Sportacus for trying to catch him with Robbie and for calling him Sportiloop instead of Sportacus. Then she explained she thought Robbie was going to help her find Stephanie. Sportacus forgave her and then they danced to Bing Bang. After they danced Stephanie helped Sarah bring her bags to their uncle's house when they got there they found out that their uncle found the map. The end.

This thread makes me realize I need to try to get over my writer's block and write something again for the fandom. I have fanfics over at AO3, but they're definitely not for everyone. (Violence, angst, weird crossovers.)

I haven't seen many recent stories, it's always nice to read new stuff. I'm glad the fan fiction site has sill the older fan fiction stories online. Not sure for how long though, perhaps it's wise to capture the most in *.txt

Definitely a good idea to back things up and make copies of them. Even after I post my fics, I download PDF versions of them, and back those up to my external hard drive, along with the text documents I originally wrote them in. Doesn't hurt to have multiple copies, IMO.
