E: What did wake up your interest about Iceland?
C: LazyTown, undoubtedly. Before I got into the brand, I had some basic knowledge about the country, but not exactly an interest. Then as I got more and more interested in LazyTown, that interest bled over into an interest of Iceland. I wanted to know the who, what, where, why, and how of LazyTown, and Iceland is involved in many of the answers to my questions.
E: Why do you like Lazytown? What is so brilliant about it?
C: That's a good question, and an obvious one. I've had years to come up with a good answer to this question, but the best I've come up with is, "I just do." I realize that that is a terrible answer, so maybe I can answer it a little differently. At this point, the concept of liking LazyTown is kind of obsolete to me. LazyTown has become an integral and defining part of who I am. I wouldn't be me without LazyTown, so I care for it as if it was an extension of myself.
E: Have you watch all the Lazytown series?
C: Of course! Several times, actually. As my understanding of LazyTown grows, it is rewarding to watch the series from start to finish with new knowledge because then I can pick up on new things that I had never noticed before, and gain a new appreciation for LazyTown as a whole.
E: When did you start watching lazytown?
C: 2008. I was a little late to the party, but I think I've more than made up for it!
E: Who is your favorite character in the series?
C: Stephanie. It took me awhile to reach that conclusion, but after I did, it was obvious that it had been all along.
E: How much/many lazytown stuff have you gather?
C: You might imagine that I have a room that's plastered with LazyTown posters, with shelves of mint condition toys, a Sportacus bedsheet and Stephanie curtains, but that just isn't me. I'm a little obsessive when it comes to books, CDs, and DVD/VHS, but all in all I have a surprisingly small collection of only things that are special or somehow meaningful to me, and it all fits on a small cabinet.
E: What lazytown stuff is your favorite?
C: Well I think if I told you about my absolute favorite pieces in my collection, I would get some people in trouble! But as I said, a lot of the things that I have are personally meaningful. So for example, I really cherish a little Sportacus piggy bank that I have because it was given to me by the studio manager of Latibær ehf. right off the shelves of their storage lot. Or a pink bracelet that I got from the actress playing Stephanie in a LazyTown Live! show. It's just a piece of cheap plastic, but it makes me happy. It's impossible to pick favorites, but the contenders are all things like this.
