    Recording the shows for myself

I am going to try and record the first 2 seasons. They still show LazyTown shows on Saturday.
I think there are 53 of them. I have about 6 already. It would be nice to have them all

    Which seasons are there?
Are you going to record from TV?
    Is it English language?
Can you share 6 episodes you have?

Re: Recording the shows for myself

They are all from the TV, and I record them with a VCR.
There are eight, all from season #1, yes all in English.

    Welcome to LazyTown. (show #1)
    Defeeted
    Cry Dinosaur
    Laziest town
    Ziggy's Alien
    Secret Agent Zero
    LazyTown's Greatest hits
    Sportafake.

I don't know if this website is available to you over seas, but here is a list of all the shows.

VCR Rips, won't be very good quality unfortunately. There are already better quality rips out there on the Internet.

Or you could just buy the DVDs and support the show for yourself.

For the sake of sparering you with a hell of a lot time, I feel obliged to tell you that there are already several different rips of both the DVDs and even HD episodes out on the internet.
Use the mighty powers of Google to obtain them!

I am not capable of transfering a VCR recording to a computer. You tube has alot of the videos.

Fox, I see alot of videos on Youtube. When they are on a vcr, I can watch on the TV anytime..and not on a computer screen.

Whatever works for you man, but it's probably time to make the switch over to DVDs.

I don't think my DVD player can record from TV. It's only a player. I also thought one can't keep adding shows to a DVD, that it's gotta be finalized. Since I have to wait a week or more to add another show, the DVD has to be ejected. With a VCR I can eject and save and add till it's full.

You should be able to burn at least 2, if not 3, episodes of the show on a DVD.
But having files dedicated to only your TV is very old school. The better alternative would be to have your files saved on your computer or a harddrive, and then play them on your TV directly from your PC using an HDMI- or VGA-cable. You could also save them to a USB-drive and plug it in to your TV, though I doubt you'll have this possibility if you're still using a SCART connection.

Try looking at your DVD player. Maybe it'll have a USB media link that would allow you to play MP4 files. I'll make your life a whole lot easier, and you'll experience a massive step up in quality.

I can maybe get 13 on a VCR tape, maybe 15 if I cut out the commercials, but I have to be watching to do that.
Okay, I've done the math for you.
If you chose to go for the DVD rips that are available, you'll be looking at around 6.63GB for the first season. That is the size of the entire first season.
A regular DVD holds up to 4.7GB worth of data, so you'll only need two DVD's in order to have the first season. Doesn't that sound more appealing than having a couple of these big old VHS'es laying around?

It definitely sounds alot better, Fox. But earlier you said 2-3.
Does anyone sell season 1 and two complete?

It will be difficult to find a complete DVD set like you're imagining. This is, I think, the closest to what you might be looking for.

I meant if your went for the HD episodes, which are a couple of gigs each. But of course you wouldn't want to burn such files to a DVD, since DVD's are only capable of playing standard definition files. My bad.

Just remember that this is a region 2 DVD box, and cannot be played outside of the EU. If Mickey really is from Florida, maybe this is not the right one for him..

I am in Florida...nothing to hide.
I am going to stick with the slow VCR method.
Another problem has arisen. Looks like the next few shows are series 3.

Haha, well you certainly fit in here well then
Anyway, as a guy that would always want my peers the best, I've sent you a message. You can feel free to record the shows if you want, but I really think you should consider the DVD option.

Wouldn't it be a bit to go out on a limb buying a DVD player, only to be watching the "fake" version of LazyTown?
I mean, it is the BBC version after all..

Re: Recording the shows for myself

I remember this TV show. And the memories are very sweet. It was a favorite TV show of my daughter. Good old times. It was more than 10 years ago. I remember the songs and the voices of the main characters until today. I am from https://populationstat.com/canada/ but as we are Russian speaking, my girl was watching it in translations. Great recollections and nice associations.
