  • Eraserhead...

...I just watched it today... HOLY FREAKING HELL.

So, has anyone else seen Eraserhead?

I read some stuff online about it, trying to decipher it, but I still don't know...

...That baby will give me nightmares... *weep*

    Aye.

You seen any other Lynch stuff?

It's all pretty much just as weird.
Not often quite as freaky, but sometimes more confusing. :?

If anyone hasn't seen any Lynch, I implore you to watch Eraserhead, Lost Highway and Mulholland Drive.
You will never be the same.

No, so far this is the only movie I've seen from him. But when I get the chance, I'll definitely check out those others you listed. Someone else I talked to mentioned Twin Peaks as a good one...

Twin Peaks is a series + prequel movie.
It is good, but it's probably a good idea to get to know Lynch before you commit yourself to 10 hours with him.

His work's not all freaky wierd stuff, though.
He has done some more linear movies, but most of them lie somewhere in between.

I'm a huge, huge Lynch Fan. And yes, Twin Peaks has finally been released on DVD, there was a 4 year gap between season 1 being released and season 2 in which fans went rabid waiting. But yeah,

lynch and lazytown. my two favorite TV shows ever...
Twin Peaks is def. worth it, but you gotta do it upright and do it in strict order, which means tracking down the Twin Peaks PILOT to kick it off... NOT something that's easy to do.

But DO NOT< watch Fire Walk With Me, until after the series, as it is spoiler central.

But Here's top Lynch in order.

TWIN PEAKS: Fire Walk With Me
          TWIN PEAKS: Pilot
          TWIN PEAks: Series
          Mulholland Drive
          EraserHead
          Blue Velvet
          Lost Highway
          Wild at Heart
          Inland Empire
          Elephant Man
          Straight Story
          DUNE

            I'll agree with that, except:-

I'd put Lost Highway before Blue Velvet (but only just)
I haven't seen Inland Empire yet

And Elephant Man's a strange one.
I wouldn't watch it if I wanted to see a Lynch film, but I do really like it and would recommend it to anyone.

Eraserhead was a good show. I know a guy with schizophrenia...the only time anyone has known him to give attention to any one thing for very long is when he watched that movie, if that tells you anything.

Blue Velvet was good, too. I watched Firewalk With Me but was kinda lost since I never watched Twin Peaks.
