  • What Video Editor Do You Use For LazyTown Videos?

Someone asked me about a good video editor and I don't really have a answer to that becase the problem is that I only use one most of the time. That is the MPEG video editor (update 2008) from Womble, it my main editor, it does what it does: editing (per frame, so that is pretty accurate if you want something to synchronise with the audio) and exports to mp4 H264 in HD. I did use Magix Video Deluxe 2008 Plus (in German language) also but that has some disadvantage in decoding and it can't read H264, I couldn't find an english version so that's a limiting thing either. Also Adobe After Effects is awesome but very hard to learn if you're a starter but if you want to learn it and make cool effects this is the right piece of software imo. I have never used Microsofts editor, it's on my computer but I have bad experience with Microsoftware.

I wonder what anybody else uses to edit video's and why.

Sony Vegas Pro 8.0 and Gordian Knot.
So far there hasn't been anything that I wanted to do that I couldn't do between these programs.

Puppies from Trees, everyone thinks it's Kittens, but it's not. The Cats put them up there in an bid to takeover the world, as chronicled in Cats and Dogs, which everyone thought was a kids movie. I know this because when the neighbourhood Cats crap in my Garden, I overhear them talking.

The only thing I remember about Vegas was it was one of the more annoying softwares to register a pirated copy.

VideoReDo is the best because it can edit MPEG2 and H.264 video without re-encoding.

All that other trash like Sony Vegas requires you to re-encode the output file and lose quality... shameful.

I added the link for the VideoReDo editor. It seems like a great editor, Ineed to try that.

Sorry for the bump, but I used Windows Live Movie Maker until February 2010, when I started to use CyberLink PowerDirector. I got it because at the time it was summer here and I was very frustrated because Movie Maker lacked lots of functions and Sony Vegas was too difficult for me, and I wanted to make videos during my holiday, but then I read on a site that CyberLink PowerDirector had lots of Sony Vegas functions and it was at #1 beating Sony Vegas in ease of use. I tried it out, loved it, and have kept it until today :).

Sorry for an epic bump, but does anyone know of a free program that can join/crop .avi files? I can't seem to find one that works, and even the last-resort Movie Maker dies on me within a minute of adding said files (they're not corrupt, unless every single vid on my computer is as well).
