  • Unreal Engine in Lazytown?

Any one else notice the Unreal Logo in the credits?
some simple searching found me this:

    http://www.unrealtechnology.com/case...p?ref=lazytown

Yeah you read right, Lazytown uses Unreal Engine 3 to render the 3D world!
From what i can read it's only rendering and world creation, and everything else is handled in the other XRGen4 software.
Makes me think, if they got up to a good DM in the streets of LazyTown during their breaks....

        Re: Unreal Engine in Lazytown?

It was the first thing I noticed about the show before I even liked the show.

It was one of the first things I asked them about, yes they created the graphics of the town using the Unreal engine.

For the second season, the first was done with their own renderer,
it explains the horrible lighting in the 3D world, UE3's lighting was always made surfaces too reflective or too dark

Funnily enough, when I asked, I was told that they used Unreal in the first series... and possibly the second...
