  • 23rd April - Kids Festival (in Turkey)

Why on April 23rd. Is there some significance to this date? You'd think they'd have made it on April 18th. And it's not like there's going to be any tourists flying there to enjoy the festival :)

Incidently, both my grandparents on my mother's side are named George / Georgette (Georgeta in romanian)
Is there any special Saint George's day celebration in England, being he's your patron saint?

lol, no. It's not a public holiday, and last year some parts of England were banned from celebrating because, and I quote "it's racist."
But I'm not too bothered, I learnt from a tv show called QI that Saint George never even visited England! lol.

                  ^Hey, mine too!

It's also the day after Earth Day. And three days after 420. But seriously, those holidays sound interesting. I wonder if there are equivalents here.

Me too, because frankly Astrid is pretty hot. Can't wait for rule 34 to kick in.

Why the **** is it racist?! No realy, I want to hear the reasone...it's not even "insulting to other religions", I mean even musilims think Saint George was great.

It is true, he had nothing to do with England phisicly. He's less connected to England then Saint Andrew the Aposle is to Scotland. I thought that is common knoledge though
