Re: First Official Lazy Idol Competition!!! [POSTPONED]

As much as I hate offtopicing (not really) I thought I would come and tell you what I think anyway.
I fit many of the traits as a "straight edge" person, but I do each individual things for different reasons, not because I'm "straight edge."

I don't drink because I don't like how alcohol tastes, and because getting drunk basically sounds like the worst idea ever. I can't believe that people strive to achieve that... Of course, that's not to say that I'm not against drinking alcohol. I have before, and I will probably do it agian. It's usually really fruity watered down shit in very small quanitities.

I don't smoke because seriously? What good is that?

I don't have casual sex because I'm one of those pussy guys that likes to have a relationship first.

I don't have any piercings because they just wouldn't look good on me. I got my septum pierced once just too see what it felt like. Never again. Espeically not there... ow ow ow

I don't have any tattoos, not do I ever plan to ever get any for a few reasons. Becuase first off, I don't trust myself to get anything that I wouldn't regret years later. Also, what's the point really?

I am not a vegetarian or a vegan. However, I do tend to slightly lean towards vegetarian habits. Depends on what sort of mood or what sort of mineral defficiencies I am having, but on average I'll take a salad over a burger.

Think that covers all the aspects right?

Now, if one day I decided, **** it! I'm gonna get drunk, sleep with all these women, and get a flaming skull + dice snake combo tattoo on my lower back while smoking a joint, I wouldn't have the stigma of being "straight edge" stopping me. Regardless of how intensely unlikely that is, the point is to leave your options open.

You are a very, very great person. Plus, I could have written this post.

...wait, what on earth happened here?

Uh...yeah, I'm straightedge for many of the same reasons listed. Having been convinced to pursue that path by witnessing the outcomes of (and being subjected to the illogical and occasionally violent actions of) my family members who are so very, very, not straightedge.

I don't see that changing because trying to find people who don't have severe addictions in my family is like trying to find a needle in a haystack. And if your parents are addicts, you're genetically predisposed to becoming one yourself. No thanks.

I don't know what happened, either. I was all like "They off-topped my thread... :( "

                  What do you mean?

And yeah, I agree. Everyone in my family has an addiction. I have yet to disclose mine to anyone.
My grandma was addicted to gambling and love, my great-grandfather was addicted to women/sex and chewing tobacco, my papa (grandpa) is addicted to the feeling he gets from being generous, my aunt is addicted to drugs and alcohol, and so on...
And everyone smokes. Except me, and I plan to keep it that way.

Haha. Stingy is a definite saint.

Also, on a completely unrelated note...I was an angel for the day before Halloween at school, and I carried around my cow plushie, which I had attached a makeshift halo to.
For the trick-or-treating, I was Kairi from KH2 (school girl outfit, was also my Otakon 2009 costume).

I might be as well. I haven't had the opportunity to really gamble, but I recall spending far too much time in the casino while playing Pokemon...

I'm actually not bad at certain gambling games, but I still don't know how to play poker.

Haha, Buzz....it sounds like "glory hole," which I do believe is the term Stingy was referring to. If you're confused, search for it on urbandictionary.com

                        ....lol.

ALRIGHT, no more off-topic! ...as much as I'd love to read their reactions, I'm not sure I like where this thread is headed... xDD

We suddenly went from singing to drinking to straight edge to glory holes.

                          /END OFFTOP.

Anyways, going to use my babysitting money to get a decent mic for this competition.

                          Anyone else interested in competing?
